Round and rusty! Paula: “I started spotting circles for Cucalu, when lying on my bed in my house in São Paolo. A little lazy, I peeked out of the window for something cool.. and I spotted this rusted one!”

A cube of calm. Frits: “At least once a year, I visit Vlieland*. When the ferry takes off, I stare at the mainland until it’s too small to see. I leave daily life on the mainland, too. So my mind is open for.. nothing really, but quietness.”
*Vlieland is one of the Wadden Islands, an archipelago just off the North coast of The Netherlands.

An annoying bulb of pulp! Amanda: “This is a papaw* tree outside my house in Sydney. I’d be happy to have it there if I liked the taste of papaw, but.. I don’t. It attracts hungry bats in summer who hang out there at night, screeching at each other.”
*In North America and Europe, people usually say papaya. Aussies, Africans and the Brits prefer pawpaw.

Blue Monday? The contrary. At Florent’s office of Printic in Paris, they cherish anything orange: “Our company’s color is orange, so I found plenty of bright circles. As you see, even our toilet paper is orange!” Well, as Dutchies, we can only celebrate anyone playing Cucalu in orange.*
* The Dutch Royal family’s lineage goes back to the House of Orange-Nassau. Many national holidays, such as King’s Day, are themed orange.

Circles from far away! Marieke runs a social venture in Uganda: “Through meso-financing we give real munts* to female entrepreneurs in Uganda. Meanwhile, I spot circles everywhere. This one I found in my hostel, also known as my office!”
* Munts allow you to unlock new missions. You earn them by receiving medals for your work.
