“This is what traffic lights look like in Canberra, Australia. The lights are on the route I take between the office where I work, and the school where my wife studies. I walk past there regularly, and thought that capturing the lights mid-flash would make a nice circle-photo. The sky in the background is typical of Canberra in the middle of winter—clear blue skies and icy winds. It looks warm, but don’t let the weather trick you, you can find some pretty cold circles here.” (James from Canberra, Australia)

Rainy rounds!
Nora from London: “I was exploring my new neighbourhood in London, near Hoxton Square, when I noticed these continuously disappearing circles in the canal. I wondered whether it’d be possible to capture one of them. I took a lucky shot and succeeded at the first try.”

A hooray hoop! Martijn from Breda, The Netherlands: “This is a very special hoop! What you see in the picture is a scale that’s used to weigh newborns. It was my on-and-off waiting room while my wife was giving labor to our firstborn, Lexie. During those +/- 30 hours I killed time by hunting down all the circles I could find. And yes, mother and child are healthy and happy.”

A cheeky circle! Carl from Bussum, The Netherlands: “The Red Light district in Amsterdam is pretty fertile Cucalu territory with all those ‘special’ shops. On my way to grab some lunch, I couldn’t resist snapping this circle.”

A Cali circle! Evita from California, USA: “When the tide was low at one of our local beaches I spotted the palm trees in a distance. It took me a while to frame those guys in my Cucalu circle, but when I finally got beneath them, it worked out pretty well!”
